Biography
The British Tenor Kyle Fearon-Wilson was born in London, where he received a specialist music education at the “The Purcell School for Young Musicians” supported by the government’s music and dance scheme. During his Bachelor’s degree in classical violin performance at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart (which he successfully completed in 2021 with "sehr gut,” he began his undergraduate degree in classical voice under the tutelage of Prof. Schneider in the same Hochschule in 2019. He likewise completed this degree in February 2024 at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber, Dresden with the grade „sehr gut“.
Since 2024 he’s continued his studies in the postgraduate Opera class with Gundula Schneider. He has since attended masterclasses under the guidance of Bo Skovhus, Nikola Hillebrand, Daniel Heide, Malcolm Martineau und Carolina Ullrich.
The tenor’s first experiences in operatic productions have been in the Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart, in the Kleines Haus of the state theatre Dresden the Isny Opera Festival, the Landesbühnen Sachsen Dresden, the Uckeroper Angermünde, the Theater Hof and most recently, the Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, amongst other roles "Podestà" - W.A. Mozart "La Finta Giardiniera", "Ozia" - W.A. Mozart - staged performance of the oratorio "La Betulia Liberata," "Bacchus" - J. Offenbach "Orpheus in der Unterwelt," "Engel der Sanftmut" - Patrick Cassidy "Dante" - world premiere, "Gerichtsvollzieher" - Kurt Weill "Der Kuhhandel," "Dick" - Kurt Weill "Street Scene," "Tancredi" and "Second Tenor" scenes from "Orfeo" and from Madrigals by Monteverdi.
At the turn of the year 2024/2025 Kyle Fearon-Wilson sang as a guest artist with the Sorbischen Nationalen Ensemble Bautzen in their annual New-Years-Gala.
He is a prizewinner of the 35th edition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Competition and will give his debut this summer as Vergi in Andrés-Grétry’s opera “Raoul Barbe-Bleu.” In the season 2026/27, he will also make his house and role debut in the Theater Vorpommern in Stralsund singing the role of Syme in Lorin Maazel’s only opera '“1984.”
Kyle Fearon-Wilson has a passion for Lieder and Oratorio. He has received important impulses in the Lied class of KS. Prof. Olaf Bär and Prof. Ulrike Siedel as well as in the Oratorio class of Prof. Britta Schwarz. He has performed the last song cycle written by Benjamin Britten “Who are these Children?” Op. 84 and has had opportunity to perform Schumann’s Dichterliebe as well as Schubert’s schöne Müllerin. He is frequently heard as a soloist for Bach cantatas, oratorios, contemporary cantatas, songs with organ and in lieder recitals.
